Marry Me Amy

Marry Me Amy is a pop-rock band from Manila, Philippines. The band's members are Aimz Cruz (vocals, guitar / keyboards), Lisette Ortiz-DLS (bass, back-up vocals), Joey Quibol (drummer) and Raymond Sol Cruz (lead guitar).

The high energy pop-rock outfit have been together since early 2008, with their music unique blends of styles ranging from classic rock, hard rock, pop, oldies and jazz. Their sound is recognizable with intensely catchy melodic tunes and smooth vocals. Their music is all about memories, LOVE, life's rollercoaster ride and, songs of hope and faith.

THE HISTORY

Words and music originated from Aimz' (vox) bedroom about fifteen years ago. Fast forward to 2006, stumbling upon a free sound editing software made it possible for the imagined songs to finally be audible and shared to her close friends and family.

In 2007, Aimz met Monci (guitars) at a corporate setting where their musical interests clicked. And with skills complementing each other well, they decided to form a band and named it MARRY ME AMY. After song collaborations and a couple of gigs before the new year celebration, his migration papers to Australia was released. Thus, the creation of Memories of Bright Skies, music by Monci, words by Aimz.

The following year, Marry Me Amy became an all-girl band with Lizz (bass), Jaq (drums) and Lowie (guitars), but not for long. Great opportunities took the drummer abroad while the guitarist became even more demanded by her full-time professional music teaching career.

Along came Joey (drums), Liz's former band mate, who arrived from Japan just in time and shared the same goal of pushing through and focusing on the band's original material. They continued rehearsing in three-piece and jammed with prospect guitarists along the way. It was real challenge to find a committed lead player to incorporate melodic riffs and add some rock twist to their songs until Raymond (lead guitarist), the band's soul mate, came along and completed the pack. And now MARRY ME AMY is ready to rock!
